One of the first things we did when we got to Rome was visit the Villa Borghese gardens as per the recommendation of some friends. We were told about the two seater bikes so we had to go and investigate and couldn’t resist renting the little buggy ourselves.
It was an experience and a half! You can cycle around the park and gardens and us being us, we somehow made our way onto a dual carriageway! And if you haven’t heard about Italian drivers… then let me tell you… I thought our lives were over! ;-)
Having somehow made our way back into the park, we cycled around, dodging other bikes and roller-bladers and made it to the edge of the gardens to stop and admire the views.
For a casual day exploring, I wore a little pineapple top (which is uhmmm from the kids section of H&M) and my new Urban Outfitters high waisted shorts, a pair that I found comfortable and quite flattering. And what do you wear with a pineapple top? A pineapple necklace of course! It definitely suited the weather that day! ;-)
