The Palm House

During a couple of days off a little while ago, Paul and I ventured to Kew Gardens, which is one of my favourite places in London. Not only is it a nice place to stroll around, the cafes are good and I can never resist popping into the shop, much to Paul’s dismay! ItΒ feels like you’re somewhere out in the country and not in the middle of West London. It also brings back nice memories of my friend’s lovely wedding a few years back.

The Palm House is one destination I always love to visit as the tropical plants and trees are my favourite. On a chillier day, it’s also nice that it’s a few degrees warmer (not always so nice when it’s boiling outside though!). The best bit is climbing to the top by the roof so you have a view of everything down below.

Whenever we make it to The Palm House, the Waterlily House is just to the side and houses a pond full of the largest waterlilies I’ve ever seen. Makes for a pretty Instagram photo, that’s for sure! ;-)

Now that it’s November (how did that happen?!) and my Birthday and Halloween have been and gone as well asΒ Starbucks having introduced their red cups already, I feel like I can start getting a little excited about Christmas? So I can safely say that I’m already pretty excited about Christmas at Kew… we went a couple of years ago and I’d really like to fit it in somewhere between sorting out our new rooms at Paul’s parents’ house! Yep, we’ve decided to move back to start seriously saving for our own house! Eeek! It feels like it might actually happen one day?!
