Last weekend, when the sun wasn’t shining so bright, we had to get out of our flat to make way for viewings. Since the weather was a bit dull, what better way to spend a Saturday morning then going for pancakes? I saw the Kensington Quarter on Emerald Street the week before so thought why not give it a go. The place itself looks lovely and the food was really good, but the atmosphere could be a bit more laid back and welcoming. Since we had to stay out for a while, we took a stroll up to Kensington High Street and further along to Kensington Palace and Gardens.
The pond is great for people watching. We especially witnessed a father and son feeding the birds almost an entire loaf of bread and pretty much getting swarmed by the lot of them… It was almost a scene out of Hitchcock’s Birds!
The swans looked so effortless gliding along the pond but you know what they say about swans, calm on the surface, however paddling frantically underneath. Not far off how I’ve been feeling for the past couple of weeks! Only 3 more weeks before we move and then hopefully things will settle down a bit…
