May Day Bank Holidays are pretty good when the sun is shining and when there’s a vintage country fair on, they are even better! The Cavalcade presented an array of classic and historic cars and machinery, a vintage fun fair and working steam engines, plus an abundance of sugar meant that it was a good Sunday well spent. Plus throw my mum’s cooking into the mix beforehand and you know it’s a good day!
We also made friends with a pair of cute alpacas that I almost wanted to take home! ;-) But not as much as some of the classic cars and vans like this pretty red H Van!
Sometimes I am like a kid in a sweet shop and this proved it. As soon as I spotted the Candy Floss stall, there was no stopping me! Fresh and so sugary, I was definitely on a sugar high for the rest of the afternoon. Not to mention, it kind of matched my sweet themed ice lolly shirt that I couldn’t resist. What can I say, pastels and sugar win me over every time…
