Summer seems to have come and gone judging by the current weather outside, but for the short time the sun was shining, I’m sure that you as well as me made the most of our summer wardrobes! I’m hoping this is just a blip… it’s August after all.
Hello again and happy weekend! I’m finally able to have a breather after what feels like a full on couple of months at work… Catching up with 4 series of Game of Thrones has been the thing that’s kept me going! How amazing is it by the way!? I’ve been completely hooked. But I’m happy to give my little corner of the internet a bit of attention again.
It’s the first of May and it’s the first time this year I haven’t been freezing, so I’m going to call it the start of Spring! It’s also the first time in what feels like a long time that I’ve felt like I can breathe… the last 10 or so weeks have been ramping up at work as I have been part of a small team working on an event that we put on at Somerset House last week. All the hard work paid off in the end, but I can safely say I’m more than happy that this weekend is a Bank Holiday so that I have a bit more time to recover!
It’s been a while since I last posted, time has just got away from me. I blame work and commuting to rendering me a bit of a hermit for the last few months ;), but hopefully I’ll be a bit better going forward!
Before Christmas, I was trawling through Canopy and Stars looking for somewhere where Paul and I could maybe go for a late January weekend getaway and came across the Dimpsey Shepherds Hut in Somerset. We loved the look of it and so with Christmas and moving in with Paul’s parents out of the way and being back at work a couple of weeks, we decided to book it for the last weekend in January.
Having moved further out of London now means that we have to make a little bit more effort at the weekend when we want to go to places that were right on our doorstep all along, but it makes it feel like we really did something with our day, which is always a good thing.
