.:My Weekend: Peyton & Byrne:.

How good has the weather been this weekend? You couldn’t keep me indoors, so the Boy and I set off into town for a little explore around Covent Garden. I had to get my friend a birthday present and I’ve also been wanting to try out Peyton and Byrne on Wellington Street.

I’ve been trying to keep a check on my sweet tooth, but it all went out the window when I saw that apple and caramel cake and oh my! It was worth it! The Boyfriend went for the raspberry roulade and that was pretty good too! The coffee was a tad too strong (probably as it didn’t have my usual squirt of caramel syrup… yes I told you the sweet tooth was bad!), but sitting outside on a Saturday in March was pretty special!

That reminds me, I do have the Peyton and Byrne cookbook, but haven’t really used it very much, think that may be changing very soon…

What did you get up to on this lovely sunny weekend?

That cake looks fab, every time I go past their St Pancras shop I have to stop myself from buying everything in there. And doesn’t the sun make everything seem so much better? Even lazy weekends seem more special somehow.

Ah, I love Peyton & Byrne. Their baking book is probably one of my most used. Made the carrot cake from it a couple of weeks ago – so good. Definitely recommended.
