At the weekend, I like nothing more than to go out exploring, either a new place or a favourite haunt. It’s nice to get out and about after a whole week spent in the office and even though I love a good lie in (my boyfriend can vouch for that!), there’s nothing better than grabbing breakfast, a coffee or an afternoon tea somewhere.
On the first sunny November Sunday, we decided to visit the Ham House Gardens in Richmond. It was a lovely sunny day, meaning we were able to sit outside of the Orangery cafe, looking out over part of the gardens whilst munching on scones and tea.
The gardens have small summer houses as well as little seats and benches dotted around in between maze-like bushes so it’s fun to explore and see what’s around the next corner. The day we were there, there was a Halloween trail for kids with notes scattered around the gardens so kids were running around finding the next clue!
The eagle eyes amongst you might have even spotted a little bushy tail in one of the photos – wow that squirrel moved fast! ;-) we couldn’t get a picture fast enough!
What do you like to get up to at the weekends? Do you have any recommendations for places to see?
