Decked Out

A flying visit to Brighton happened on Saturday for my friend’s birthday… The Boy and I could only stay for lunch as we had to get back to see family in the afternoon, but it was a nice morning with a walk to the beach and a few peeks in the shops down the Lanes before a mammoth lunch at Bill’s (the chicken and chorizo burger with avocado mayo is an absolute must!).

The Birthday girl was a little late in getting to Brighton so we wandered down to the pier and sat by the beach for a bit. It must have been fate that we stumbled on a pair of deck chairs that matched my outfit perfectly! ;-)

About a month ago, I had one of those moments that probably only I have, that I thought I would wear my white jeans… only to come to find that they weren’t in my wardrobe. Next came a phone call to my mum to see if they were at my parents’ house… and the conclusion was: I must have given them away a few years ago as I know I haven’t seen them in a while! Shows you how much fashion really does come back around, so if you have something worth keeping, hold on to it! I probably prefer the fit of the Leigh’s to my old ones anyway so maybe it was a £38 ‘blessing’ in disguise! ;-) I’m really loving white and blue together at the moment and I spotted this cute powder blue peplum top in the Warehouse sale and I couldn’t really say no.

I’ve only been to Brighton a handful of times, two of those times in the last year and I don’t feel as though I’ve explored it enough. I would like to go back pretty soon to check out the Lanes in more depth and look for any hidden vintage treasures. If you know of any good places, to shop or to eat, I would love to know!

Hope you’re all having a good week…
