Hello again and happy weekend! I’m finally able to have a breather after what feels like a full on couple of months at work… Catching up with 4 series of Game of Thrones has been the thing that’s kept me going! How amazing is it by the way!? I’ve been completely hooked. But I’m happy to give my little corner of the internet a bit of attention again.
Paul and I took a trip up to Cambridge a little while ago, since neither of us had been in years and it seemed like a nice day out. I’d read up about a few places to go and where to eat (always important), so we had a wander around the shops, Cambridge Satchel being an obvious must, as well as one I’d found through instagram – Homestuff with History. We found Fitzbillies for lunch and you probably know by now that I’m partial to a bit of old school vintage and historical places, so this 1920’s bakery had me at hello. We ended up having a savoury lunch, but next time we visit, I’m trying one of their famous sticky Chelsea Buns!
I know Cambridge is famous for it’s architecture, but it really is beautiful especially the little cobbled streets, the old shops and the University buildings. I’d also quite like to go punting, but I think I’ll suggest to do that with a group of friends later in the summer with a little picnic!
One last stop we made before heading back home was an ice cream from 6 Ice Cream – oh my… my absolute downfall is pistachio and their salted pistachio ice cream was pretty damn amazing!
As for my ‘ootd’ – I bought these dungarees at some point last winter and I’ve got so much wear out of them already. I love a bit of denim and I love how you can dress dungarees up or down. Since it was nice and sunny, I went for my rather colourful and a bit out there floral embellished shoes that I got on a whim from ASOS, but I like to jazz up an outfit, so they fit the bill quite nicely! As for my top, I love the sleeves! Although I have to be careful not to trail them in any food or errr calligraphy ink… ahem…!
