Apologies for being a bit quiet this week, I have been feeling a little under the weather. Just what you want when the weather takes a turn for the better. I only managed to stay at home for one day before going back to work, sniffling! It hasn’t stopped me powering through and enjoying the weekend and making the most of this amazing sunshine. Lets hope it stays, fingers crossed!
The park and gardens at Blenheim Palace was the destination of choice this weekend. With a blanket and a little picnic in tow, we made our way through the acres of green park and encountered a number of different animals, the most memorable being a gaggle of hissing geese that were relentless whenever anybody wanted to walk past one little part of the path they were occupying! (You can check out a little taster here.) Funny little things!
Blenheim’s park is a beautiful place to wander around or laze in the sunshine. My favourite place must be the rose garden and I would love to come back when the roses are in full bloom!
A day out in the sun was the perfect opportunity to finally wear one of my new midi skirts. I’m absolutely in love with this pale blue little beauty and I know it’s going to be well worn this summer and beyond. I also couldn’t resist the embellished tee from River Island a little while ago, which goes with pretty much anything and the embellishment makes a plain tee that little more girly.
I’ve also been looking for a pair of white leather cut out flats for about an age. I had a lovely pair that I literally wore to death for the previous two summers and well… they aren’t in the best condition! I finally found a pair in Urban Outfitters thanks to Olivia and I’m more than happy with them! (Even if I do need a little plaster now, silly feet.)
For a hot day out and about, I didn’t want to be carrying my normal day bag around so my Milkman came out to play! I’m so happy with the colour, I think it goes with everything and will be coming out a lot more.
Have any of you been to Blenheim Palace? I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend in the sunshine!
